Fosko Coffee Barre: My Pensacola
Charming, chic, cozy, and inviting, Fosko Coffee Barre should be on your must-go list in Pensacola, Florida. We’re always on the lookout for fun spots to add into our Pensacola rotation, and this coffee shop shot to the top of the list! It’s definitely the best coffee we’ve had so far in Pensacola; third-wave coffee has finally arrived!
A bunch of us went to check it out before we split to our separate activities. We were a large group, so between us all we ordered Foskolinas (a cold brew coffee with either vanilla or hazelnut flavoring. We got one of each), an affogato, an iced latte, a flat white, an iced chai, and a key lime cheesecake. Being family, we sampled each other’s selections liberally, and every. single. drink. was top-notch and on point! The affogato was unanimously voted as the BEST we’ve ever had, and let’s say that we’ve sampled our share of those. We also appreciated that even though the cold brew coffee was flavored, it was not even close to being too sweet; it was flavorful but just barely, perfectly, sweet. In addition to being excellent coffee, our drinks came out very quickly.
As delicious as the coffee is, the finishes at the cafe are the cherry on top. The tap (with cobra and bullet handles for the Cobra pilot owner, Semper Fi!) currently dispenses sparkling jasmine green tea; copper finishes gleam throughout, adding further warmth to the brick walls, and cozy seating areas let you soak it all in.
We didn’t get anything to eat while we were there, besides the cheesecake, but they also serve up both sweet and savory crepes, which looked delicious (you can view the crepe menu right here). It was too hot for me to get consider drinking anything hot at the time, but their lattes looked intriguing, particularly their honey/lavender latte. After having their cold brew, I would trust it not to be too sweet.
We can’t wait to come back and explore Fosko Coffee Barre’s menu further, and spend some more time enjoying the atmosphere.
Street parking isn’t usually too hard to find, and is free. There is a two-hour time limit on most parking. There is also a paid parking garage around the corner.
